Postpartum: 5 Must Haves

Let’s be honest, having a baby is hard, but the postpartum period is both emotionally and physically taxing.. Your body just went through a truly miraculous event and you’re a mom to a brand new, beautiful little human. Your body aches, you’ve reached a level of exhaustion you had no idea was possible, and you have to meet all of your little baby’s needs, in addition to your own.

I've been there and am here to help make your postpartum journey a bit more comfortable! Below you'll find 5 of my favorite items.

1. A Large Water Bottle:

I don’t think anyone ever drinks as much water as a woman who just had a baby. Quench your thirst and stay hydrated with this half gallon bottle linked here!

2. Nipple Cream:

Whether you choose to breastfeed or not (fed is best!), your nipples will likely be sore. This nipple cream may offer the relief you need linked here.

3. Heavy Absorbent Pads:

Extra large, super absorbent pads the days following your baby’s birth are a must. The days and weeks following birth your body is shedding tons of blood. You'll want to make sure you're well covered down there, trust! Here are pads I link, linked here.

4. Postpartum Underwear:

Pair these with your supersized pads to make sure you’re covered and most of all, comfortable! Getting postpartum underwear with a little tummy control can also feel comforting, keeping everything feeling secure, check these out linked here.

4. Lastly, Cooling Pads:

A lesser talked about side effect of giving birth are hemorrhoids. They burn and feel itchy, the icing on the cake during postpartum. Use these pads to help with some of that discomfort. Stacking them and placing them right on top of the pad can also cool any burning in the vaginal area as well. Check these out, linked here.

What am I missing? Let me know what helped get you through your postpartum journey, comment below.
